VACANCY! Pennington County State Legislative Representative –  District #32
 There is a vacancy on the Pennington County Democratic ticket for a State Representative candidate in District #32.
This district consists of downtown Rapid City and much of the south side including: Robbinsdale, West Boulevard, Regional Hospital, Skyline Drive,  and surrounding neighborhoods of Mountain View cemetery. The former candidate, Angel Staley, has had to withdraw her name due to unforeseen circumstances.
It is the job of the Committeemen and Committeewomen from each precinct in District #32 to select the replacement candidate. The selection will be voted on  TUESDAY,June 26, 2018 at the regular meeting of the Pennington County Democratic Party, 6:00 PM at the Labor Temple, 922 East Saint Patrick Street.

The South Dakota House of Representatives is the lower house of the South Dakota State Legislature. It is made up of 70 members, two from each legislative district.  State representatives are elected officials who represent specific legislative districts within a state, defined by population. Representatives are elected to two-year terms. In this capacity, representatives are charged with presenting the best interests of their district, in terms of introducing or supporting laws and amendments. They also serve as political spokespeople for issues that are important to their state and district, and are accountable to those they represent.
